InRule Metrics:
Empowering Enterprises to Make Data-Driven Decisions

For an enterprise to achieve its business goals, it is imperative to define and measure the right metrics. However, determining the appropriate mix of metrics to track in order to achieve a business objective is often an iterative process.

InRule Metrics makes it easy to select and monitor several values in the application. The result? Data-driven insights into the impact of your organization’s automated decisions on vital KPIs. InRule makes it easy to analyze and compare the impact of automated decisions on your business.

It’s as easy as:

Select Metrics
Choose the metrics to support KPIs.

Run Rules
Execute rules to obtain data.

Measure Results
Track progress toward desired outcomes.

Select Metrics

The first step is to define and select the metrics to be monitored. Those metrics can either be data or a decision. Use irAuthor to flag the data (fields) or decisions (rules) as a metric.

Run Rules

Next, it’s time to collect the data. This happens during rule execution. The engine collects the value of each metric which is then emitted to a Metric Logger. To handle the multitude of options for desired logging locations, InRule has implemented an adapter-based model. This allows users to write metrics to any location that is required in an implementation. There are three adapters available in GitHub: Azure Table Storage, SQL Server, CSV. Learn more here.

Measure Results

Analyze the data in different formats so your team can take the most appropriate action. Relate the data to the business objectives to evaluate the decisions and gain greater ROI.
