Bringing Together Our Vision and Your Voice
I’m very much looking forward to this year’s InRule User Community Meeting (IUCM) that will take place in Chicago from Sept. 18-19. Having attended User Community gatherings in the past as both an attendee and a company representative, I find these events to be energizing. I am excited to spend a day and a half interacting with our customers and learning about how they’re using InRule® in new and innovative ways. Plus, who doesn’t love putting a face with a name (and an email address)?
Our Vision, Your Voice
The theme for the conference, Our Vision, Your Voice, highlights the two drivers of InRule’s success. Our Vision guides our product roadmap and drives us to continue bringing to market innovative products that help our customers keep pace with changing marketplace and consumer needs.
Your Voice is the reason we’re here. Your Voice is what drives InRule forward, what inspires us to solve problems, overcome obstacles and to understand the challenges you face every day. Your Voice provides the feedback and wish lists, but it also provides the endorsements and references that have been vital in our growth.
IUCM 2014 will bring together Our Vision and Your Voice, creating a forum for InRulians and our user community to exchange ideas and updates, share best practices and pave the way for future success.
Your Voice: Shaping the Agenda
We’re finalizing the agenda and customer feedback from our recent User Community survey has weighed heavily in the content we are bringing to the event. Survey participants indicated that training is a key driver for attending conferences. As such, our ROAD team is actively engaged in building a robust curriculum that features technical workshops for basic and advanced users.
The agenda for Thursday and Friday also includes company and product updates, including a presentation about the InRule roadmap and a visionary discussion with our CTO, as well as a panel discussion with our engineering team. IUCM 2014 attendees will have plenty of opportunities for networking, interacting with InRulians, and collaborating with industry colleagues.
Last but not least, I’m thrilled that we have secured several customer presenters. Larry Beran, CFO/COO – iPipeline and Jay Mossman, Founder/CEO – Akcelerant will share their perspectives on how technology and innovation enable their businesses every day. In addition, Sean Marchiafava, CIO of eQHealth Solutions, will present a use case highlighting the role that InRule has played in his organization’s development strategy and the impressive ROI that eQHealth has realized since the initial deployment.
Return of RuleBay
Internally, there’s a lot of buzz about the return of RuleBay to IUCM. I’m still a relatively new InRulian (I joined the team in February), so I had to be brought up to speed on this IUCM session that was causing such a stir. RuleBay allows IUCM attendees to bid using “Rule Bucks” on the features and functionality that are most important to their organization. My first reaction: Brilliant! What customer doesn’t want the ability to influence product enhancements? This session was extremely well-received in the past and is a great way for our customers to exercise their voice. I can’t wait to see RuleBay in action!
A Three Hour Tour. A Three Hour Tour…
Our daytime agenda is packed with thought-provoking content so I’m sure attendees and InRulians alike will be ready to unwind and socialize at the end of the day on Thursday. Since Lake Michigan finally thawed, we felt it would be a great opportunity for IUCM attendees to experience Chicago from a different vantage point. InRule User Community members and the whole InRulian family will venture out on board a private yacht for a dinner cruise on Lake Michigan.
It’s going to be a busy few days but I know attendees will walk away from the event with new ideas to drive even more ROI from their InRule investment.
What about you? Are you planning to attend IUCM? What are you most looking forward to?
