John Trus - Canada Country Manager

As Country Manager for Canada, John leads InRule’s sales and business development efforts in Canada, driven by his passion for business rule technology and desire to find the best solution for each client.

John Trus has been a leader in selling business rule technology for the past 10 years. With almost 20 years experience selling software in the Canadian and US markets in various management and business development roles, John has engaged with some of the largest and most innovative companies in North America.

In the business rule market, John has previously invested more than four years building ILOG’s business in Canada, and seven years in various sales leadership roles for the Blaze product line at HNC Software (now Fair Isaac Corporation). He has also held lead sales roles at Open Network Technologies (now BMC Software), Sterling Software (now Computer Associates), and several privately held companies, and worked with a variety of companies in developing their sales strategies, market plans and selling processes.
