Dynamic Decisioning: Scorecards for Risk Assessment

• The InRule business rule engine is being used as a component in a scorecard authoring workbench for a major financial firm.
• This scorecard workbench will provide non-technical business analysts with the ability to create, maintain, and publish their own scorecards with calculations, rules, and user interface definitions without programmer involvement.
• When scorecards are published, they will be made available to internal personnel via the web for data entry and evaluation of an instance of a given scorecard (for example to evaluate lending risk for a potential loan customer).
• InRule is used to execute the rules and calculations for both the conditional rendering of the data entry screens and the calculations of the scorecard results.
